The West Bengal BJP has carried out another organisational reshuffle ahead of municipal elections, releasing a list of in-charges for 43 organisational districts. Baranagar MLA Sajal Ghosh has also been given the responsibility of the party's state spokesperson.

The district in-charge list includes state office-bearers, MLAs and former district functionaries across several organisational districts, including Bongaon, Basirhat, North Kolkata, Barrackpore, Jadavpur and Hooghly.

Shubhendu Sarkar, who was recently removed as president of the OBC Morcha, has been appointed co-convener of the Malda division. The reshuffle follows wider changes announced in the state BJP committee, where several ministers were relieved of organisational responsibilities citing the 'one individual, one post' principle.

Sangbad Pratidin reported on September 27 that the organisational changes come ahead of municipal elections. The report also noted that BJP national president Nitin Nabin is scheduled to visit West Bengal and meet the new state committee.
