BJP President Nitin Nabin Likely to Visit Kolkata on November 2 Ahead of Civic Polls

BJP national president Nitin Nabin is expected to visit Kolkata on November 2, according to reports citing party sources. The proposed visit comes as the party prepares for upcoming municipal elections in Kolkata and Howrah.
The reports say Nabin is likely to hold meetings with West Bengal BJP leaders to discuss organisational preparations, election strategy and candidate selection. The party may announce its municipal poll candidates together after Kali Puja, though an official announcement on the candidate list has not been made.
Questions around the selection of former councillors and new faces have reportedly featured in internal discussions. Speculation has also emerged over possible political arrangements involving NCPI, but state BJP president Samik Bhattacharya has reportedly dismissed talk of an alliance.
The November 2 visit and meeting schedule should be treated as reported plans until formally confirmed by the party.
