Kolkata Metro has decided to operate additional services on three lines ahead of Durga Puja to handle the expected increase in passenger traffic. Special services will run on October 3, 4, 10 and 11 on the Blue, Green and Yellow Lines. On Saturdays, October 3 and 10, the Blue Line will operate 272 services instead of 252. The Green Line will run 236 instead of 212, while the Yellow Line will run 120 instead of 92.

On Sundays, October 4 and 11, the Blue Line will operate 188 services instead of 152, while the Green Line will have 125 instead of 111. The Yellow Line will operate its regular 78 services. Direct Metro services between Jai Hind Bimanbandar and Dakshineswar will be reduced from three to two.

The timings of the first and last Metro services will remain unchanged on all four days. Purple and Orange Line operations will follow their applicable schedules.

The additional services are intended to handle the rise in passenger traffic linked to pre-Puja shopping and other festive activities. The special timetable applies only to the four specified dates.
